For many of our most vulnerable neighbors, school provides more than learning: it’s a place where kids can get at least one good meal every day. But when summer vacation comes, food insecurity can once again plague poor families. That’s why the Food Bank of South Jersey has launched an ambitious summer meals program — half a million meals this summer — and why Holman supports the effort. On June 21, the Food Bank kicked off the program at Camden’s waterfront with Kidsfest, a two-hour party with food and crafts, and our employees were there to help the kids celebrate by mixing up some good ‘ol slime. The effort was so successful that leadership is now considering “Make Slime” the final leg of the “Holman Way”. Here’s how it looked:
